You need a Pre-nuptial agreement if you want to protect your assets before entering a relationship.
You need a separation agreement where you agree on how your assets are to be distrubuted when you separate (before divorce).
You need to work out what assets you have.
You need advice form a solicitor on how the court will usually decide these matters.
You need to find legal costs to fight it out or come to an agreement together yourselves.
Arrange a solicitor to draw up the agreement.
Arrange an independent solicitor to give the other party adive.

Divorce Applications - What to do next:

You need a divorce to remarry or finalise your legal relationship with a former partner.
You need to wait 12 months to apply for a divorce.
If you have been together for less than 2 years, you need to go to councilling first.
You need to complete an application form.
you need to lodge your application with your court fee.
